Alex practices yoga, meditation, and integrative therapeutic modalities and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  She teaches a rhythmic, alignment-based flow that encourages students to find a balance of strength and softness in their personal practices.

Alex began her teaching career with trainings at YogaWorks and continues her studies under the guidance of Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee at Yoga Shanti, participating in their teacher trainings as both a student and a mentor and teaching public classes at their New York City studio. In addition, she has completed trainings in Trauma Informed Yoga through Exhale to Inhale and clinical rotations through the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy foundation.  As an integrative therapist, she utilizes alternative healing modalities such as yoga therapy, breath awareness, guided meditation, Reiki, aromatherapy, and contemplative care.  She serves as the Clinical Coordinator of Integrative Therapy at the Riverside Premier Rehabilitation Center in Manhattan.  In this role, she works with staff and patients experiencing the effects of stress, traumatic injury, cancer, mental illness, and aging to promote a sense of relaxation and restoration.
